I had a GREAT caribou hunt out of Happy Valley in 2011 (last week of August). Apparently a different situation in 2012. See the post "1st Alaska Caribou Hunt" below.
I read that post and that had me concerned about what happened in 12. O2BNalaska did you hunt for one or two caribou and did you have any chances at wolf?
We were west of the Haul Road and in there for 5 days. Two hunters, took one caribou each (could easily have had two). Saw no wolves or bears. There are 2 or 3 outfitters that fly out of Happy Valley. Check with them (and their references) for what happened in 2012.
