Moving to Alaska for the summer

I will be moving to Anchorage, Alaska to work for ConocoPhillips, the summer. Hopefully after the summer it turns into a full time thing. I plan on doing a lot of fishing while I'm there, but I would also like to hunt black bear in May and possibly Caribou in August before I leave. I plan on buying a general license instead of trying to draw. Does anyone have any ideas on where to start looking for bears in a general area and also caribou? Also, if anyone is from Alaska and needs a hiking/hunting partner let me know.

I've spent the last 2 summers working/fishing/hunting in Alaska so I have some experiences that could be helpful. I intend to be there again next summer so shoot me a PM and we can talk.
