Salmon fishing lures

I'm heading up on the Togiak for a 8 day DIY float/fish trip in July. Would like to get some info. on what type and color lures and techniques that would work best for salmon and trout. Using spinning reels. Thanks.

For silvers and pinks we used all colors of gold fox vibrax spinners and caught a ridiculous amount of fish every day I was up there, but that was on the Kenai.

this might be a little late i go to alaska every year and fish for silvers and use a #5 vibarax spinner in the fire tiger orange and slay them we have used alot of other colors but do as good 8 to 1 on the orange pinks need alot smaller spinner a 0 or #1 i try not to catch the pinks the big spinners scare them off but i have done good with a fly pole and some small streamers if it is not too late email me and i can help you some more [email protected]

I'm no Salmon fisherman, but Orange/Pink Blue Fox Spinners worked well for us. Even caught a few drifting a bare hook with a few Orange plastic beads above the hook. Used a small split shot to hold the beads in place.
