Sitka in May

Well I finally pulled the trigger on a fishing trip to Alaska. 3 days and 4 nights the week before memorial day. Just wondering if anyone had fished with L & M charters before and if there were any "Must Do's" or "Must See's" while in Sitka. We will have a little time the day we arrive and each day after returning to shore for sight seeing. Thanks

I fished Sitka in late May years ago. Our primary goal was a fly out trip to Stikoh Creek for steelhead and cutthroat trout. We did spend two days fishing for salmon and halibut in the salt. We had terrible weather and rough ocean so not too enjoyable.

Not much to see in Sitka. There is a fish hatchery there and a totem pole park. Kinda neat. There are some shops along the harbor that cater to the cruise ship crowds.

It's beautiful in Sitka.
