Fishing in Hyder, Alaska

Just wondering if anyone has fished near Hyder in the rivers for Salmon and what luck you had...Also was wondering how the halibut fishing is there? Any information would be nice....May be going to Hyder the middle of Aug

We did a site seeing trip up to Hyder about 20 years ago, however there were folks fishing salmon on ?fish creek? outside of Hyder. They even had their fryers setup cooking right on the bank. That trip was during the month of August, so I'm sure you'll find activity there. Sorry, I don't have intel on the halibut.

PS I do remember seeing numerous bears when we were there.

I know a guy that was fishing up that way a couple weeks ago and him and his buddies have gone the last three years for salmon and halibut. This year was poor fishing for them....that's fish'n....
