Live aboard fishing charters

Looking to do a trip like this in the future. Anyone else done this type of trip living board a boat fishing/sight seeing ect before? Good or bad.I know there a few copmanies out there like Good Time Charters that specialize in this type of charter. Or just stayinhg at a lodge a better option?

A nice lodge all the way. Allll theeeee waayyyyyyy. Stuck on a boat in rough seas, stuck on a boat all day, all night, never getting away from the others on the boat, for a week. A decent lodge all the way.

Or on the other hand, try different areas each day, see seals, whales, sea otters, etc... up close and personal, put out crab and shrimp pots, have a true adventure, etc.. Most of those boats are 50 -60 foot floating lodges. Its not like spending the week in a canoe. Give me the boat any day.

That was our thoughts. The kids would love pulling pots and all that. Chipc have you done this in the past?

Smiles, I haven't done a trip like that myself but I've heard great things about them. I have booked a boat based Brown Bear hunt for the spring of '16 with Alaska Ravenguides - Scott McLeod. Scott seems like a great guy and he does fishing trips as well. Google the Sportsman's News forums and you'll find an article by Mike Demming that describes his fishing trip with Scott. Sounds darn good to me !!GOOD LUCK. Chip
