Saw your moose pic's in the "new pic's" section...you know it's illegal to show a beautiful critter like that without sharing the hunt details...please share the story with us.

Sorry I am late responding to you. I just finished up the season. This moose was taken by one of my clients on a drop camp hunt. We knew the moose was in there, and knew he was big. It took only half a day to find him and by night fall the packing was over. The moose was in a very remote part of the Alaska Peninsula on the Pacific side. Because of the location of this moose I doubt he had been seen by human eyes often or maybe ever. I left the client a satellite phone to give me weather so I had a reasonable chance of getting into them when the time came. As it was I was turned back once, but on the fourth day of waiting for a pickup I was able to get the moose and both hunters out. Kevin will have to tell you the story on the hunt.
