"2016 moose hunt"

I am wanting to do a DIY moose hunt near Anchorage. This would be for 3 people. I have an area I am wanting to get to by plane in unit 16B. Who would be my best contact to get in there and dropped off with a raft? This drop off would be on land not lake.

There are lots of air taxi operators that could fly to unit 16B. The length of the air strip may determine the type of aircraft that can get you in and out of there and how many trips will be required. Call Trailridge air at 907.248.0838 as a starting point. You will need to know the weight of the 3 people, the raft, and the rest of your gear. A 206/185 can carry around 850 lbs and a beaver is rated for 1250 lbs. The air taxi will weigh all your gear so don't just guess the weights. Are you renting or shipping the raft?
