Alaskan Yukon Moose Hunt

Headed to Alaska for a Yukon moose hunt this year. I have a pack frame I plan to use from a buddy who went a couple years ago but wanted to see if any of you have been on a Yukon moose hunt. What pack did you use? Anyone hunted with Papabear Adventures and have photos to share? Any helpful tips would be appreciated to help me prepare as my hunt gets closer.

Good luck! you going with papa bear?
I have a thread in the moose/sheep section. A few pics in there of moose from papa bear. The one was when I was 16, that was in MN.
We use a simple meat frame, I paid like $65 for mine. I think I got it from sportsmans? My old one was getting bent and straps were old, I paid 55 for it from gander mountain in '04.

Not like you are long distance hiking. If you are down in the "swamp" there at papa bear, you most likely won't even need a pack. Moose will probably drop near where you can get your boat up to it.

We are flying out on the 9th from Denver to go up there for 10 days this fall in September.

Just read your post in the other thread.
Your 4 buddies, they happen to go in 2011 and I think are from Kentucky? The one guy got a "blow job" from a grizzly in Idaho a few years ago elk hunting???

Hey guys, just found this thread. I'm looking to do one of these unguided hunts in Alaska. If you see this, pm me or text 307-389-6316. I have some questions. Thanks karl

Killed a 50" bull. Didn't see many moose but when we got back to hanger other hunters seen more than us. Guy with me didn't get a moose but got a big wolf. It rained everyday but 2 out of 12 days, some days was just light rain. One storm we were stuck in tent for 32 hours! Main guy back at hanger said we were only group that didn't ask to come out early. Physically and mentally hardest thing I ever done but I'd do it again and probably will in couple years.
