Can a non-resident hunt coastal Brown Bear with a Resident?

Non-guided.

Not blood related?

no. you either have to have 2nd degree kindred with a license accompanying you or a guide. in-laws do count in 2nd degree kindred.

I did a DIY grizzly hunt last year from out of state and no guide. I landed in anchorage and bought a grizz tag at cabelas. No one asked anything about a guide. You can do a DIY grizz hunt for about 1500 dollars. Im going to try a mountain goat hunt this year alone up there. Wish I could move there!

Thats about the stupidest thing you could possibly post online. thats a good way to lose all hunting privileges in most western states when you get caught.

do you not know how to read? regs flat out say NR must be guided or accompanied by someone with at least 2nd degree kindred.

I refuse to acknowledge outfitter welfare programs.

You on the other hand better hold your guides hand when you come back up again.

Boy do i hope you get caught and lost your hunting privileges across the west. you are one of the stupidest people i've seen on this forum. i don't agree with the guide requirement and have hunted the species in alaska that don't require guides and the ones that do require a guide legally.

Be sure to call your guide ahead of time to make sure you are both wearing the same KUIU pattern.

I can understand there being a law out there for guys like you that like to hold hands with their guides.

But that's not fair to the guy's like me who take satisfaction in getting things done by themselves.

Shot a nice dall sheep last year too without a guide. Total cost DIY was 1400. Not bad....
