Non-resident Moose in AK

I've heard that a non-resident hunter needs to hire a guide if he wants to hunt moose in Alaska. Is this true? That would just about price me out of ever going moose hunting. Tell me it ain't so.

Very good. Thanks! I see it applies to grizzly/brown bears, Dall sheep and mountain goats, but not moose. So I guess I'm not off the hook.
