anybody here ever hunt with these fellers...tis midwinter and i am daydreaming about a drop camp for caribou and possibly moose thanks happytohunt

I have hunted caribou with Tony Lee in 2 of the last 3 years.
3 years ago I saw about 2000 caribou, a couple of grizzlies, 2 moose and a lot of ptarmigan. I did not harvest a caribou as I held out for an absolute monster.
2 years ago I saw about 1500 caribou, 0 moose, 4 griz, 6 black bears and a lot of ptarmigan. Again I held out for a monster and got nothing.
I did not go last year as I was in Europe.
You will get more food than you need. Your camp will be very much as advertised. Tony will check on you mid-week. He is great conversation and his other pilots are also nice to talk to. Tony will fly around and drop you where the game is.
I will probably go again next year-perhaps we will cross paths.

You might want to check with Tony. I talked to him last fall at his camp and it sounded like he wasn't going to do any caribou hunts after last fall. The caribou population in his neck of the woods isn't nearly what it used to be.
