Has anyone tried one of there cameras, I know there are several models to choose from and they seem to be pretty cheap. I figured with the price being so good maybe I would get a couple of them if they were any good. I'm not looking for great pics from these cameras just something decent to show me that the critters are there. If there are better cameras in the same price range please let me know!

Thanks, CABugle

I have been using one for two years. Its cheap but works. I think I paid around a hundred bucks and its still going. It seems a tad slow on trigger speed but I have caught alot of critters

I have several. Didn't want much money in them because I set them up on public land. On a waterhole or feed/mineral spot they work just fine. On a trail you will need to set it up looking up or down the trail, not perpendicualr to it because trigger speed is slow. They also go through batteries fairly quickly. Overall, I think they are a good value. Just dont expect the same performace you would from a $500 camera.

Here's a page with tons of trail cameras, from $50 to $200+. You might find something there that works for you.

I have several wildveiw cams..........since the first one that came out(1/3 megapixel and 10 foot flash, still use one). One thing is for sure they like batterys. Best is to use the external jack and by a rechargeable gel sealed battery. With a 12 volt 9 amp battery , it will last probably 500 to 800 pic or more. Then take it home and charge it over nite and good to go again. Or have two batterys and exchange them. Just bought a few from NatchezSS for $46 each and they work great........if you know what your doing. Wild Veiw has a great program to exchange old non working cams for factory refurbished one. I have a bunch of cams and most pratically all are on 6 or 12 volt sealed gel batterys. These batterys can last for years.......and most do. Cheap in the long run! I would not be scared of wildveiw......specially if you are worried about thief!!
