Kenetrek boots

Just ordered mine as well. The 400's were $312.00 yesterday, and today they are $319.00. I was going to wait until tax returns came in, but I'd rather save the $$$$$ even if it's only $7. I talked to sportsmans to see if they would pricematch and they would not, so these guys got my business.

Post on how well they do I'm looking to change from Danner to another style of boot. Thanks

Well looks like they raised their price on them back to 350.00 today. Hella glad I bought mine yesterday for 319.00.

I checked with Kenetrek and high mountain today, the prices at High Mountain went back to regular because Kenetrek is pretty much stocked out and so is high mountain. New MTN and Hardscabble boots are not coming in until Mid May... There was not an 11.5 anywhere to be found when I called on Friday, I ended up with one of the last pairs of that size.

Since the 80's I have always used Danners... but they are not the same boot or company since LaCrosse bought them. :>( Got my first pair of Kenetrek's and are wearing them while getting in shape - the fit is wonderful and the support it fantastic. I got the Mountain Extreme model and am very happy! NJS

I ended up with two separate models of Kenetrek boots. I tried two others (Hardscrabble and Mtn Extreme 400) but ending up sending them back, didn't fit me or my needs. I have the Mtn Extreme Non-Insulated model and the Mountain Safari model. I have to say, I like the Mtn Extreme and they will be my boot for years to come but I love my MTN Safari boots. I ended up with a slightly used Safari from a deal I could not pass and I am very pleased I bought them. They are a little more flexible, less stiff than the Mtn Extreme and have felt a little better on my feet. I can tell they will be the boot I will use for bow to muzzleload season.

I have been looking for Kenetreks also. Seems like I am always a day late and a dollar short. But I did come across this deal at www.bugsnbullets.com . They have the same deals as everyone else but you get a free set of gaitors ($49 value). They seem to be a real nice family run business at Bugs N Bullets.

Headed up on the Penninsula Monday for two weeks with the Kenetrex 400 Mnt extreme. let you know how they work when I get back. Still plenty of snow and slush up there to test them. Last trip the danners failed don't know if they changed how they are made but I do know after wearing size 10 for 6 or 7 years I had to buy an 11 for the same fit 2 years ago

Same model they just make them in China now. The Kenetrex is definately heavier and stiffer. we will see how they withstand
the elements. For summer fall sheep, elk and deer and general hiking I'll stick with my Vasque Wastach GTX never had a more comfortable boot right out of the box.
