This week was bad for me.
My trusty Kelty External Frame finally wore out after 15+ years.
I have tried the new internal frame packs out there but always fell back to using the old trustworthy Kelty.
That pack went many, many hundreds of miles in that time, lasted through all weather, carried gear, antlers, quartered and boned animals and kept on holding together.
Actually it can still be used but the back webbing finally got worn and is falling apart.
Researched more packs to replace old faithful but kept thinking how great and how many hikes, that old pack went through with me.
Found a new Kelty External Frame and bought it. When it arrived I could not help but smile.
Hopefully this one lasts me another 15 or more years and I am pretty sure it will. Could very well outlast me.
Who else is old school out there that prefers a product that can haul more gear than an internal frame comfortably and does not make you feel like your wearing a wool back sweat maker?
Oh did I mention with heavy loads it is less likely to give you a pinched nerve that some of my friends internal frame packs gave them.LOL- Now they use Kelty.
If your back is the pack animal I highly advise trying Kelty for the most comfort and could end up being the best buy you ever make as far as lasting for the amount paid.
Not a Kelty employee just a extremely happy customer and supporter of there External Packframes.
Try them and see for yourself.
Best,
Jerry
