Best Range finder

I have used a Nikon Gold 1200. It has been very reliable and reads consistently to 700 yards in poor conditions and 900 if good conditions and 1100 yds in perfect conditions. Of course in heavy snow flakes or perfectly flat shapeless desert nothing works well. I use mine ALOT here in IDAHO doing year round long range shooting. New ~$330 and used ~$200. Newer Nikon Rifleman 1000 with angle adjustment works just as good, EXCEPT, it has an internal light to try and illuminate the reticle but just makes the interior glow and is useless for the first 30 minutes of light.

i know you have probably heard this before but i would spend the extra and get a leica. mine is a lrf900 and it reads to 900 yards in any condition and out to 999 in good conditions. it only has three digits or im sure it would read furhter. having it side by side with a nikon will show you the difference. i paid 399 brand new. they have been updated now and are more expensive but i would get a good used one over a brand new one of a lesser brand. my bro in law picked up a ferfect one off of ksl for 375
