I am in the market for a new pair of pac boots prices are all in all about the same whites, schnees, and kennetrek. What would you guys reccomend/not reccomend and why? Going to be doing a lot of lion hunting with them looking for experiences with warmth and dryness, any help would be appreciated thanks

I said it last year and I'll say it again. Go at least slip your feet into a pair of Mucks. (the Artic, or one step under). They offer good support, they are warm and "dry". No more laces where leaking usually happens. No more stitching where leaking happens. They protect your legs so no more gaters. And they are extremely comfortable. I've got a pair of each and have used them for two years. They still look like new and I love them.

I have the 10" Grizzly Kenetreks and while very comfortable they do leak a little in heavy snow.

I have Kenetrek hunting boots but my pac boots are Schnee's and I love them. Highly recommend.

I have a pair of Whites, and Schnees...both are great!
I use them for Ice Fishing, Tree Stand Hunt in -20 in Idaho Late, etc.
Nothing like pack boots for those situations.
Good luck

Like bowhunt said they are great for Ice fishing, tree stands etc. If you are going to do some serious hiking then you would be better off buying one of the high quality insulated hiking boots. I like my Schnees but realize they have their places and limitations.

I have the Kenetrek 10" Grizzlies and they have been great in the Sierra's wet snow and now in NM in sub-zero conditions. The construction and soles work great hiking in rough terrain, way better than my 30 year old Sorrels.Never had any issues with leaks as I use the recommended boot sealer.
