I have been looking to purchase a new pack for multi-day excursions into the hills. I do not plan to use this pack for the majority of my hunts. I have a Blacks Creek and Eberlestock pack which are better suited to day hunts. I would mainly use this for 2 to 3 day archery elk hunts, sheep & goat hunts (when I am lucky enough to draw!), and also as a backpacking bag for recreational use in the summer.
I would like your opinions on the following bags that I have been considering.
Kifaru Timberline 2 - 5200 c.i. -- Price $600-$700 (depending on options)
Kuiu ICON 6000 bag w/ Frame & Suspension - 6000 c.i. - Price $550
Mystery Ranch Grizzly - 6000 c.i. -- Price $600
They seem relatively comparable to one another. I know that all companies make a quality product and have great service and warranties. I am leaning toward the Kifaru because I can get to Denver to be custom fitted, plus backpacking seems to be their foundation. I have heard lots of great reviews on their packs.
Thanks for any input.
