Sheep Herder Tent by Davis

I was wondering if anybody has used the sheep herder tents by Davis Tent Company? If so, how easy was it too set up, could one guy do it by yourself? I am looking for a smaller wall tent that can be set up by one man.

Thanks,

Brookhunter

I had one and it was a very well made tent, 10-minutes up and 10-minutes to pack. I sold it and bought a Kodiak 10x10 for the added wall space and I never used a stove. The Davis is a true 4-season as well. Here is a picture for you.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-13-12 AT 10:19PM (MST)[p]I bought a montana tent and a friend bought the Davis the same year. Mine contiues to shrink. I've had to cut the leg poles twice and the gables once. He's never had to cut his. Mine gets more use but i wish I'd bought a Davis.

Set up, take down is the same.

I have the bigger Davis herder. One guy can set it up if you know the spacing of the corner stakes beforehand.

So you set the corner stakes, tie off 4 corners loosely, then put in center pole. I bought aluminum tube and made poles for my walls. It s a nice small tent for up to 3-4 guys and a stove.
