Public/Private GPS Mapping

Which GPS should I buy so I can load public/Private maps onto it? I keep hearing Garmin, but which model?

Yea me too I originally bought a Dakota but the screen was too small for my eyeballs. The Oregon looks like it's right in the middle size wise. The Public Private GPS is pretty cool I can dial right down to my house and it shows my lot and my name.

I'll piggy back on this discussion and also ask about the program you like for showing the public private. My understanding is that it is sold as a "chip" which you put in your GPS. Is it also possible to put it on your computer to print and analyze?

HuntingGPSmaps.com. you can get the maps on an sd card or you can download the maps straight to your gps(if you have enough memory). i have an etrex 20. i like it but the screen is to small.

i just bought an oregon 550t and also just got the idaho map (public/private). i bought it on the mini sd card but you can also order it as a downloadable version from your pc. i like the card. just insert and youre done. great map.
