Merino Itch??

I have a midweight Smartwool shirt that itches a little bit. Is that normal for merino? I have a 185 weight shirt coming from Kuiu I'm hoping the lighter weight shirt won't itch as much.

I just bought a couple of those kuiu zip 185 tees. They are in the bargain portion of the store and only $50 because they were "rougher" than they should have been. They told me to launder them a few times and they'd be ok. I ran them through a few gentle cycles with wool safe detergent and they are great now.

the key with wool is not to dry it. Hang dry it. I had a few other merino shirts that I dried and they got itchy quick.

kuiu's merino never bothered me but if you want merino as soft as a babies butt get Core4Elements stuff.

We have switched over to First Lite, their material is finer then most others. I have never had mine itch at all.
