Need a new rifle

Weatherby vanguard S2 series.
Guaranteed 1", good trigger, three position safety.
Around $475

Can't beat it for the money.

One for the x-bolt. My dad bought one and I loved it so I bought one. I'm not a gun expert but from my experience and friends experience I wouldn't buy another gun.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer? See Zeke for prime example....

got rid of the tikka t3 lite when I bought a sako a7. WOW - what a rifle! I loved the Tikka, but wouldn't own another after buying this rifle. Sako A7 gets my vote.

If you have some cash.....Buy an older Rem 700 in the applicable action length for the chambering that you like and send it off to a gunnie to have a new bbl chambered for the one you like, a McMillan stock bedded with a quality job, Cerakote the metal, and trigger work over done.

Your rifle, built the way you want.

Slice, I like the way you are thinking with the 700 build.

Take a good look at a Kimber!

American made - awesome trigger - quality through out the weapon - I like the wood on the clasic - I own a Montana 8400
Would like to buy the .280 ACK/IMP in clasic wood - .338 fed. is a cool rig(less than 6#) All have Control-round-feed and 3-pos. safety - I'm a Pre-64 Win. guy don't you see.

The savage is great value and has a sweet trigger. They are good shooters I am told. Maybe you could shoot a friends rifle and see how it feels? Don't fudge on a couple hundred dollars especially if you will own only one rifle.

My 2 cents LaGriz
