Soft Shell Jacket? Sitka?

Looking for recommendations on a soft shell jacket. I plan on using this jacket as a mid season jacket. Looking for something that can take some light snow, light drizzle, etc and be okay. Would like to be able to use it late season if I'm going to be active. If it's late season and I'm active, I was thinking of using a down vest or similiar to wear under this shell. So what are all your recommendations for me? I'm leaning towards the Sitka Jetstream jacket right now. Also considered the new Badlands jacket. But I really like the Sitka open country pattern and like that it's light weight. Your thoughts?

I'm thinking if it's late season and I'm stationary, I'm going to need down, or wool. But that's a whole different discussion....

I currently use the Jetstream and think its an incredible jacket. The fit for me is all but perfect.
It will handle MILD weather. If its light rain or snow it will shed the water. Anything for long periods or hard rain/snow, you will get wet.
My favorite thing this jacket does is cut the wind, hence the name. I have been in brutally cold winds and not felt the chill through the jacket. I believe you can get away with a lighter jacket if you can combat the wind.
I use this jacket year round. I layer up under the jacket when it gets real cold. Between a good next to skin long sleeve, a heavier long sleeve layer and my Kelvin vest under the Jetstream- I can be stationary in very cold temps with out the bulk. The jacket alone is not real warm, but is very versatile.
Being active vs. stationary is all about the right layers. Not putting too much warmth in one article of clothing.
You won't be disappointed in the Jetstream.
Of coarse this is just my opinion-

Can't say it any better than the above..... The old Stratus jackets were pretty good too, but I like the jet stream better.

Don't overlook Kuiu. I have the guide jacket, and I wouldn't trade it for any Sitka piece of comparable function.

I purchased the jetstream. I love the fit and comfort of it, but haven't tested it yet. I can imagine it's pretty good in the cold with a layer of fleece and/or wool underneath. I just can't believe the comfort of the jacket - fits like a glove. I guess my only complaint would be the noise of the jacket - but it's not bad at all, but worth mentioning.
