I have checked the classifieds here, seems like the stuff goes fast! anyone know of a good place to gettem online? Just looking for some lightweight pants and a zip up light jacket even used is ok.

If you're starting from scratch, have you looked into KUIU? Comparable in price, but because KUIU has no middle man markup, you get a much better product made with more advanced materials.

Yea I have heard of them before, I havent had anyone tell me if they are as good as sitka, I know that there may not be a middle man, but the reviews and inputs on sitka have been crazy off the charts. I guess I have been looking into sitka for a while, just never been willing to drop the money till now. I will check them out more though. thanks for the idea.

You are welcome. There are a lot of folks out there making the switch from Sitka to KUIU. You can get all kinds of first hand info on what's in the works at all times through Jason's (the owner) blog. The fabrics and innovation are at the leading edge in the industry right now. This claim isn't just an opinion either, it is proven and backed up by the technical specs and performance. I would definitely give them a good look. Best of luck in your decision!

I have the Kuiu Guide jacket and paints,and would recommend them. The only Sitka products iv'e owned are the 2200,and the 4500 pack,and they were toal CRAP! I switched to Eberlestock Just one and am totally happy..

The owner of Kuiu (Jason Harriston) Started Sitka as well, sold it, and then started Kuiu. So If you are thinking that sitka is good, rest assured that Kuiu is better. I own many pieces of their gear and have been impressed across the board!
