Warm Weather Socks

Hey, interested in hearing thoughts on what types of socks you wear hiking/hunting in warm weather? I haven't had much luck with anything that I have tried so far... feet are always too hot. Suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!

I wear the thinner smartwool socks if I know it's gonna be really hot.

I try to avoid polyester blends because they stink after a couple days if I am spike camping.

Best of Luck,

I have had decent luck with the "Cabela's Ingenius? Series 10" Sock - Lightweight"

They have the "X-Static silver nylon" which seems to help in warm weather. They run tight in the calves, though. You might be best to order a size larger than your normal size. Average feedback rating is 4.6 out of 5. Not too much $$$ so you could try a pair to see if they work for you.

I also wear merino blends year around. I find the feet are going to be hot no matter what. The wool prevents chaffing and wicks the moisture away. A liner is the norm as well. When you stop to glass, rest, snack, etc... Take the boots and socks off and let your feet air out. Lay the socks over some sage or a limb for 10 minutes and they'll dry out. Sometimes, miles into the day, I'll stop by a stream or seep and pull the boots and socks off and soak the feet for a few minutes. Usually its cold enough to make them numb and tends to reduce any swelling. Its a fresh start after that.
