So I'm wanting to add a trail camera to my equipment this year but there are so many out there. After talking to some buddies they said I should spend around $100 give or take a bit and I will be able to get a good trail camera.

I was hoping to get some advice and suggestions from anyone willing to help.

Thanks!

I run Bushnell Trophy Cams...very long battery life and will work in cold temps which are my priority's. But will set you back around 200.00

I'm digging my Bushnell X8 that I picked up this year, compact and great battery life. You can find it fo $129 online.

I had 5 of the 5mp Tasco's. I like them. Down to 4 after a Bear chewed one up. Batteries last all year and they're $89 so if one disapears it isn't too hard a hit. Same camera as the little Bushnell.

I received a Reconyx Hyperfire Semi-covert IR HC500 cam for Fathers Day. It has some type of codeLock anti theft deterrence. Anyone have any experience with this or a similar unit. I haven't put it out anywhere yet.

Thanks in advance.

I just picked up five Bushnell Trophy Cam HD cams for $89 a piece. They were demo models, but they all work perfect. Can't beat that price for a Bushnell cam!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It seems like the cheaper ones are probably the best way to go. That way if they get damaged or stolen you aren't out to much money.

Plus looking at some of the pictures that have been taken with the cheaper cameras they are still good enough for what I am needing and wanting out of it.

Thanks again.
