Question about boots and boots reviews...

I've done tons, I mean tons, of reading reviews on boots.

The one thing that most people indicate is that you have to get the boots that your feet like best. But that makes me have questions...

For example - I have boots test pair "a" and they are super comfortable when I put them on. Great support, nice solid boot. Actually feel the best built and the most comfortable when I slide them on and lace them up. But all I've done is wear them around the house, sitting at my desk working, and after about 2 hours they're hurting. But not my foot. The side of my lower leg. Like if you were to take the ankle bone and follow it up the side/outer part of your leg. These are 8" high boots. Does this un-comfortableness "break" in? Or is this the boot? After 2 hours it's actually uncomfortable to touch this area.

How important is it to have 8"? I have another pair I've purchased here and they are 7". Much more comfortable, but I can tell the ankle support is not near what test "a" pair is above.

Your input...

Maddness : hopefully your not over tightening your top laces? Are you wearing tall enough socks to be higher than the boot top...that might help. As for the need for 8in boots...it depends on your hunting terrain, steep rocky slippery then yeh best to have all the support you can get. But if your doing average semi rough terrain then you can get by with the 7in comfortable boots as long as you are careful and take if slow in rough places.

Try throwing the problem boots in the dryer on air with no heat and beat them up a bunch that hopefully with soften them up some. Good Luck
