LAST EDITED ON Dec-23-13 AT 09:18PM (MST)[p]Ok so i have a big canvas outfitter tent and a good ultra lite backpack setup. Im looking for something in between for weekend bird hunting and short deer & elk trips. I love my canvas tent but for 2-3 day trips it just to much of a paid to set up and take down. Most of my bird hunting is late season in northern Nevada. Any suggestions on something water proof and easy to put up and take down?

Dude: here is the tent for you. I picked one up in 10x10. It is a four season tent made in USA. Awesome materials and craftmenship.

Here is the website. I believe mfg. is in Utah.

This is a one man pop-up tent and material and zippers are best you can get these days. They 're pricy but worth the bucks. $600+

I use a Kodiak 10X14 canvas flexbow tent, takes maybe 10 minutes to set up. Stake out the floor and then place the end posts and roof bar and stake out the guy lines. I use Cabelas outfitters tarps over the top to make sure I never have any problems. They also make a 10X10 if you want smaller. I think the 10X14 was $549 on sale for $449 and I had a coupon for $100 off so I only paid $349 for the 10X14 when I got mine a few years back. You won't be disappointed.
