Best Small Backpack?

I'm looking for the best minimum size and weight backpack I can get. the Badlands Reactor and Sitka Ascent 10 are what I'm looking at right now. no place around here has either to look at.


Anyone try one of these or have one they like better in the 1000 ci or less size range?

For "minimum size and weight", here you go !!!

I know this is probably NOT what you are looking for, but it works well for my application. I planned to buy the black and gray pack; 1,100 cubic inch (18 Liter), 11 ounces, for $24. I ended up going with the next bigger size pack, 1,343 cubic inch (22 Liters), weighs one pound, for $35. I bought the gray one (Titanium). I planned to camo it with spray paint, but it blends in with my Sitka stuff good enough in gray that I haven't done the camo job yet. I use it to haul around my predator e-calling stuff, which includes a decoy and extra batteries. My stuff isn't heavy (less than 10 pounds with water and snacks). So with about 10 lbs in it, you don't even notice it as you carry it around.

Here's the best part: If you buy it and change your mind, you have a year to return it. These are the 2013 models, so they are being closed out and the sale ends when they sell all of last year's model. The 2014 models are brighter colored versions, but otherwise nearly identical.

Wish I had something that fit the bill, but everything we hunt with is quite a bit bigger than 1000 ci. Here is a pack that I have hunted with in the past that is as close to the size that you are looking for as I can find.

I have a Sitka Flash 20 and like it a lot. It's twice as big as what you're looking for but even it is super light. I'm not sure what you intend to put in a 1,000 cu in pack but you won't be able to get much gear inside it? I've used Badlands 2200 and 2800 for years and they have been super dependable packs but weigh about twice as much as my Sitka that is actually a little bigger.
