Two way radios

I have been in curious and possibly looking into getting two way radios. I have used them once in the past and would like see how most hunters view it. I am an archery hunter for deer, and elk. Typically there is only two of us including me on the hunts. Is it worth getting radios for a spot and stalk situation? And if so what radio would you suggest on getting?

Dude: I have to tell you this might work BUT it's a bad idea. :). We have used Midland walkies for lots of years with ear buds and micrphones for rifle hunting. But for archery the only way that will work in IMO is if the stalker has it on and just listens to someone telling him the status of the stalk and what the game is doing... If the stalker starts playing with a talkie he is busted.....it is what it is....that's why it's archery :)

And in colorado using radios to aide in the taking of game is illegal! And the conversations u have on them aren't private.

Straight from the dopw gals mouth across the counter while standing next to the guy with a two way in his coveralls 10yrs ago. U can use them, just can't use them to direct someone in the aiding of "taking" game. "Hey I got 1 down come help" ok. "Hey there's 2 just above u to the left" not ok.

Jeremy I stand corrected....it used to b illegal but that rule has changed. I searched hi and low and only found 1 quirky rule about 2 way radios. Page 13 in the "It's against the law to:" #20 2014 colorado big game regs: For 2 people on the ground, in a vehicle or vessel to use electronic devices to communicate information that violates any wildlife law or regulation.
