Big Game Vest ?

Has anyone ever seen a good quality big game vest? and not orange.

To me for day hunting a good vest would be far better than a pack , I hate packs. one with good material lots of pockets and a hip belt to carry most of the weight.

If I can't find one I'm going to see if Wing Works will build me one. they make great bird vests I've thought about just using it but it's not really designed for this use.

I would take a look at the Kuiu guide vest. I have the jacket and I really like it.

I have both of those, I love them too.

I'm thinking more of something to replace a small pack, like a bird vest but more suited for big game hunting. lots of pockets, hip belt to carry the weight, big pocket in the rear for jackets and such.

I don't need anymore capacity than a fanny pack, but I hate fanny packs.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-27-15 AT 11:57AM (MST)[p]Have you looked at Flushandpoint.com? They make a few hybrid type vests. I hear they even do custom work. I've had one for a few years now and it's held up well, though I only use mine for upland bird hunting. Might also look at llbean.

I'm with you on the Kuiu Guide vest, one of my favorite things last season was that vest. Perfect fit, at least for me.
