LAST EDITED ON Aug-11-15 AT 10:41AM (MST)[p]LOVE my new Meindls. HATE the foot beds (insoles). I'm a big and tall guy (6'10", 350) so stability and durability are key in addition to the normal comfort concerns.

Anyone have any recommendations? (I hear good things about Superfeet, for example.)

Wek everyones feet are diff. I like superfeet, but I have a high arch. I noticed if I get too tall, ie footbeds I tend to roll my ankles.

I have a couple pair of Meindls as well. I really like the Earthkeeper insoles they sell at Cabela's. Not sure what model they are, but they're the burnt orange colored ones. In case this helps, my arches are weak and relatively low, and these help keep my feet from aching.

Everyone's feet are a little different. I toss the insoles that come with all of my boots and buy Spencos with lots of padding. You can buy them at Sportsmans or elsewhere for around $25. I wear boots every day for work and replace the Spencos about twice a year. I've tried a couple different Superfeet and they are WAY to hard for me...some people swear by Superfeet but my feet burn on the bottom because they are so hard.

I put Superfeet Green insoles in my Meindl boots.
They add cushion but do not compromise stability and last as long as the boots.
