Founder I got a question about some of your gear. First let me start by saying congrats on your colorado buck he's a bruiser. And thanks for giving us Junkies a place to go to in the off season, I absolutely love this site. Now to my question, what brand of spotting scope is that you pack around and what kind of sleeping bag do you use or do you use different bags during different seasons? Thanks Founder!!!

I have an old Swarovski 65. 20x60 eyepiece.
As for sleeping bags, I do use a few different ones. I have one for summer packing, another for fall packing and then a big roomy sucker for hunts where I'm not packing in.

Thanks on the CO buck. He's pretty good. I was sure excited making a play on him that day.

I have noticed with your camping gear you go with what works and like me don't have to pay two or three times as much for gear that works no better than a much less priced piece of equipment. For example, I got a cook stove I paid 6 bucks for five years ago still works as good as the day I bought it. However you don't skimp where it counts it looks like your rifle is Christiansen arms, I assumed you were probably using a swaro spotter but couldn't ever tell. Anyway now I'm just rambling. Thanks a bunch Founder, love your work!!!

I skimp on pretty much everything, even the rifle. I bought it at a banquet years ago for $1100.00. Still a lot, I know, but was cheap compared to retail. It seemed like a great deal.
I am pretty cheap.

I get a little envious sometimes when I see the gear other people get to sport, but not envious enough to waste my money on it. Like I tell my wife, I spend my money on peace of mind and play time.

Not as envious as they are of your trophy room. Your telling me you don't need a 6,000 dollar gun/scope combo to get animals like those? Haaaa I LOVE IT

I can't even imagine spending anywhere near that much on a gun. That's nuts!
