I've thought about some sort of portable power option for backpack trips and hunting trips. Is there anything any of you have used that works well?

For the most part, the only thing I really need power for is my iphone. Right now, I pack a rechargeable battery pack that I can get 3-4 charges out of, but it's a couple pounds. I would like to take a small fan with though this year on my hunt trips to help dry my clothes out while hanging in my tent. Hoping air circulation will help with that.

What else might some of you be using power for on back pack trips?

How long does it take to charge 4 batteries? I'm guessing that's how many it charges?

It charges Goal Zero's Guide 10 Plus battery recharger with 4 AA's in about 3-4 hours in full sun. I normally use it for recharging AA's for my GPS. One set in the GPS and another hooked up getting charged. I'm going to get one of their Flip 20 (4.6 oz's) recharger battery packs and bring that along to recharge my phone if needed. I image a fan would draw quite a bit of power(?). GZ has a fan...http://www.goalzero.com/p/341/fan-tool/

I use a Dark Energy Poseidon charger which is 10,000 mAh so it can charge my Samsung Note 2 about 3x. It's about the same size as my phone but not lightweight but it's bombproof (couldn't find the weight spec on it). Has dual ports to charge more than 1 device. I've only used it for testing so far but has great reviews and is used by quite a few professionals. Got mine at the Expo in Feb.
