So bought this tent last year got to use it one time helping a friend on his archery bull hunt. Was just two of us in the tent seemed like LOADS of room. Took the same tent this last weekend on a horn hunting trip 3 guys with cots !! What a BAG of CRAP 6 man BS !! We could NOT get 3 Cabela's cots in this damn thing, any of the other NON wall tent brands out there that will sleep 3 or 4 guys on cots ??

OLDHORNHUNTER,
My archery buddy has owned the 8-Alasken Guide Tent for over 15 years. That model will have the floor space to handle 3 large cots no problem. The owner of the tent is 5' 8" tall and his boys are near that size. He has had good service to date from this unit. The 6-man has gotten good reviews in the past. Always best to figure that they rate the tent by the number of mummy bags they can lay out on the floor. Rule of thumb: With gear and living space in mind, one should figure 2 people for a 4 man, 3 for a 6-man, 3-4 for the 8-man. In this case it kind of depends on the size of the cots you choose. Good news is they resell pretty well and hold there value too.

Good luck with your tent.

Thanks for the info yeah I had a friend that said he used the 6 man as a TWO man I thought he was kidding !! I will be selling this for sure we always have at least 3 guys most times 4 this will not work !! I don't think 4 guys on the ground would be very comfortable in this tent !!

For a drive-to base camp setup, I have really loved the Kirkhams Springbar. I believe I have the family camper which is 10x14. My brother has the Kodiak 10x14, which is equally nice. They are heavy, so only really suitable for a drive-to camp.

I looked at the Spring bar tents last year didn't care for the big windows. I will probably hang onto this one & buy another wall tent pretty much sold on Alaska Tent & Tarp they have a 10x12x4 for $665 the entire tent is made of 13 oz cotton duck treated canvas

Springbar is a great tent and the windows are great option. Lets the tent cool in the summer and keeps tight in the winter, Easy to set up and take down ad the 10x14 can easily accommodate 3.

have to be some pretty small cots or a really tight fit they had one set up at Sportsman's with 2 big sized cots in it & there was room too get in & out a 3rd cot NOT happening in it.

I use this. Love it. The stove keeps it super warm. Not sure if u consider this a wall tent or not. But if it's room your looking for then this is it. Also lighter than canvas. It's about 80lbs is my guess. Fits in the back of my Honda pilot. A canvas tent wouldn't. The canvas are super heavy and super big. But also super durable.

Good luck in your search.

I just bought a Cabela's Instinct? Outfitter Tent, set it up in my living room to seam seal, seems pretty sturdy, probably do 4 cots with a stove, maybe 6 without. I have the Alaskan guide 6 and 4, 3 people and a dog in the 6 without cots was tight. 2 people and a dog in the 4 man is perfect.
