LAST EDITED ON Oct-09-17 AT 01:51PM (MST)[p]Have any of you tried the Kuiu Taku Gear Bags? If so, how do you like them? Are they worth the money? Have they kept your stuff dry?
Any other recommendations for a good waterproof gear bag? Thanks.

I used a Cabela's waterproof duffel on my sheep hunt in August. I was very impressed. Great foldover design, plenty of locking/compression straps, tough handles/zippers, etc.

It held up to plenty of abuse with zero issues.

I have a Taku but have not used it. It is suited more for in the field use than for travel. (Which may be your need.) Just inspecting it - it appears it will work fine. I also have a Patagonia waterproof duffel for in the field use. It works fine. A touch heavier than the Taku in the same size.

I?v got the Taku 3000. Great bag - I use it as a carry-on and field bag. Can?t speak to the waterproofness, but it's pretty bombproof. They?re pricey - I'd wait for them to go on sale again.
