Looking for opinions on the above mentioned packs, I'll be using it to train to hunt, daypack, scouting pack and hunting. Both packs are capable of packing out some meat and also packing all my essentials. I've done plenty of reach on both packs. They both get lots of great reviews. Today I tried on both of this packs and they both fit good.
Looking for pro and cons on this two packs. I'll be getting one of this two packs but I'm torn between the two of them and I don't want to buy both.
Thanks in advance

Badlands packs have cheap zippers! Might last 6 months or 1 year but will eventually fail.

I have no experience with Tenzing.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-18-18 AT 12:18PM (MST)[p]If you ever plan on doing overnight hunts don't get the 2200. I had it for years and loved it but it is not big enough to take all your overnight gear in. You may even want to look at the Tenzing 5000 and 6000. Probably do not weigh much more than the 4000 but can carry a lot more.

I heard Tenzing are pretty good packs, I ended up buying an EXO 3500 and it's supposed to be showing up any day now. If you're still in search for a backpack maybe check out EXO mountain gear. I hear good things about Mystery Ranch and Stone Glacier also.

I've used and abused Badlands for years and years. Never had an issue with zippers and believe they have lifetime warrantees. My 2200 works great for day hikes but they aren't designed for packing anything bulky or over 40 lbs. I often use it for scouting where I want relatively small daypack.

I would recommend 2 packs. One for day hunting/scouting and a 2nd for backpack hunting and hauling extreme loads. I would strongly recommend a 2nd hauling back that is capable of 6,000 cu in bulky loads and 100+ lbs. If you want the top of the line I would suggest either Stone Glacier or Kifaru. Both have stellar followers and reviews. I went with Kifaru because it came in camo and offered lots of bag and accessory options.

If I just had 1 pack I'd likely buy a Kifaru/Stone Glacier. They really don't weigh that much and collapse tight to your back when not loaded. It is next to impossible to haul hefty/bulky loads with a small pack but possible to cinch large packs down.

If $ is an issue you can find fantastic deals on Rokslides classified adds, Craigslist, and Ebay. It is definitely worth the price of Stone Glacier/Kifaru...especially if you plan on hunting your lifetime!

Check out the KUIU ICON PRO series packs also EXO has some great packs !! You will NOT go wrong with either of these packs . I have the Icon Pro 5200 use it for everything !! great day pack or multi day will haul more weight than most guys want too try & pack !!
