Anyone have experience with the outdoorsman long range pack? Seems pretty legit. Pretty pricey but what pack isnt. i got my elk tag this year and I'm looking for something to help pack out meat or possibly hike in to camp. Sounds and looks like it should do the job. If anyone has experience with it and can chime in I would appreciate it.

I have the optics pack and the extra 1500ci pouch that attaches which makes it the size of the long range. I really like my optics pack. Carries weight well.

I also have the optics pack. Used it for several years for all my big game hunts. Handles all my gear for multiple day hunts. One thing I like best is that it is very easy to remove bag from frame. I have used frame alone to pack out mule deer, coues deer, antelope and sheep. Frame will handle as much weight as you can carry.

Good to know. I wasn't aware they made not than the long range. Would that optics pack be proficient enough for backpacking in? Is the cubic feet the same as the long range? For some reason those website doesn't wanna load for me

The optics pack is 6000 ci and like I said you can get an accessory pouch to add 2000 (my first post was incorrect I stated 1500) ci for a total of 8k. It's more than enough for multiple nights out. I've backpacked and hauled deer, elk, and bear. It has the ability to remove the bag from frame and under the bag there is a meat sling kind of thing that stays on the frame to support loads. I don't believe the long range has that option. When you get the website up give the optics pack a look. I would recommend it. I don't have any experience with the long range but I believe the optics has more individual pockets for assortment.

Awesome man thanks for the info. I'll be looking at that today if the website decides to work.sounds like the optics pack is the better option. I like the fact you can remove the pack from the frame after a kill when u get back to camp. I would just hike back in with only the frame and get the rest of the meat. thanks again.
