sleeping bag slides downhill

Anyone else have the problem of their sleeping bag and pad sliding downhill at night? There's almost always perfectly flat areas. I'm trying to find a solution so any suggestions. I have a tarptent and have tried silicone and shoo goo dots on the floor but nothing sticks to it! Just bought some foam shelf liner (for cupboard shelves) and was going to test that out by cutting a couple small squares of it prevents sliding. Anyone else been successful with this issue?

I have that also but its worse than the pad directly on the floor. Today I tried shelving liner which helped some but the best I found was a foam-type packing material I had. Had a more rubbery feel but is very lightweight so Im gonna use that next week.

Not TRYIN' to be a smart*** but how bout spending 10 more minutes finding spot to lay down/pitching tent? Lay down on ground before committing tent to a spot... Just sayin!
Or you must be locked on some great animals to have to sleep sidehillin'! Good luck

I just had the wife sew an old brown flannel sheet into a 34"x72" cover for my bag. Keeps the nylon bag clean and won't slide on anything.

Think my floor is sinylon? which is just very slippery as I've found nothing sticks to it. Flat area would be great but it doesnt take much of a slope and I roll around a lot which slowly puts my feet into the wall after a few hours. When my new pad arrives, I'm hoping a little silicone dots on it will help. As the older I get, backpack weight is important.

Been there..... Dig yourself a shallow indent (trench) before pitching the tent......worked for me

I've had that problem as well, but only when the spot has a little slope. Even the tighniest slope and I will slide down. Only when I'm flat flat will I stay put. Same problem side to side. I toss and turn too much.
