My 16 yr old daughter is needing some new hunting boots. We will be doing a lot of hiking for elk and mule deer. She is a small size ( youth 6 or women?s 7). I feel like her feet are done growing so I would like to get her good boots so she can enjoy her time hiking and hunting more. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hope someone can shed some light on this as I'm in the same situation.

I have been looking at the women's Crispi line...

Not an expert on the issue, but have had some experience with it with my boys. Just like finding boots for myself, it came down to trying on a ton of boots. I would suggest making a list of what you are looking for- rubber rand, goretex, waterproof, synthetic, leather, height of the boot, weight, and insulation are a few of the things to really consider. Of those, waterproof with some insulation are the most important to me. Then order them online, or ship them to a local store, where you can go in and try them on or return them if they don't feel right. Each manufacturer feels different, so I would encourage you to try on a couple different brands. Personally, you can spend a ton on boots, but anything from 200 on up should be of good quality. I hope this helps some.

Cheers- Dave

Best to just use men?s boots in your price range, my wife uses men?s boots it's tough to find much of a selection in woman?s gear.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go with the women?s Danner pronghorn. I think they will be fine for a couple years of hunting. Now she just needs to get them broke in
