I own a small, fully furnished cabin 3 miles from Fishlake, Utah. It sleeps 4 to 6 depending on how loud you snore. (Capital Reef National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion?s National Park, Arches National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and the Las Vegas National Park are all less than a half day drive from Fishlake. (Capital Reef is less than 45 minutes, Bryce and Zion?s about 1.5 hours and Arches about 2.5 hours.)
Fishlake is 3 hours south of Salt Lake City.

The Fishlake Mountain hunting unit is boarded on three sides by the Monroe Mountain, Boulder Mountain, and Thousand Lake Mountain. All four mountains are well known for trophy elk and abundant mule deer as well as world class lake and steam fishing. I own a 14 foot aluminum fishing boat with a small Evinrude motor that I will allow you to use at Fishlake, Otter Creek Reservoir, or Puite Reservoir, I'll haul it to the lake and haul it home if needs be.
I do not offer guide service but I have hunted and fished these units for over 30 years and I know where these critters hole up when the pressure starts.
I would be willing to trade my personal time and trade time at my cabin (I will host you to what ever degree our Utah laws allow regarding the harvest of big game) to anyone interested in trading moose, whitetail deer, bear, wild pheasant, duck, goose hunts or a fishing charter for tarpon, etc.
If your just longing for a vacation to fish the unusually productive trout waters of South Central Utah or visit our world renown National Parks for a few days it's a winner deal. Or if you are fortunate enough to draw a Trophy Bull Elk or a Southern Region-Mule Deer tag this would be the perfect place to rest your weary bones and plan the next day's hunt. (You can still buy over the counter spike bull elk tags in Utah as far as I know, and you know: a spike taste a lot better than ole bull if dining pleasure if what your after.)
If that be your wish let me know, I can make your visit a productive one and my little cabin is still "water tight, warm at night and rodent free".
