A friend of mine has cancer, not long to live. He wants to hunt a big game animal. Was wondering if there are any charity hunts out there or high fence outfitters that would grant him his wish before his final days. Any info would be appreciated. Somewhere close to California would be best. Ideas?

Maybe try contacting the Tejon Ranch just south of bakersfield. They run a huge hunting outfit. I thinks its like 275,000 acres!!! Anyways they have deer, hogs, turkeys, even elk. I know the hog and deer hunts are pretty reasonable which would make me think they might be interested. But the Elk I hear are outrageous....somethin like 18,000 bucks .I think the web address is something like hunttejon.com. Hope your friend is doin well. Ryan

Can your friend shoot a bow? Arizona has a late archery season for deer over the counter. How long does he have?

I know a outfitter in AZ, I am going to hunt with him when I draw a tag.I was thinking of doing this Jan. OTC deer hunt but can't get away. I would be willing to donate a $100.00 to a hunt. Anyone else want to chip in?

My dad had a cancerous brain tumor removed a few months ago and he's not doing good.

Just wondering how much effort can this man put out?

I do combo archery deer/pig hunts in January near Kingman--which is right on the AZ/CA border and if he is able, will donate the hunt if you boys can pony up for the fuel...

He would need to apply for a pig tag ($105.00)and buy a '09 AZ hunting license ($151.25) If he wanted a OTC deer tag is is $232.75.

Let me know,
