I need a local resident around Pinedale in Unit H to trade a walk in the wilderness area, for a walk in the fields in South dakota and watch beautiful rednecked birds fly.

David Long will take you, he lives near Pinedale. Man how would that be!?!

I've thought about asking the same thing, I'd LOVE to be able to do the deep early yellowstone border elk hunt but don't know any residents to tag along with. Man I hate that rule.

Hope you get an offer.

How about you move to Wyoming ang then you can take me ;-)

Well my nephew is in the process of becoming a outfitter in Wyo, Who knows I just be able to do that forkwest,I told him to put me in for a test so I guess we will see.

I'm willing trade some of the greatest pheasant hunting you have seen in 35 yrs. Over 10,000 acres of cropland, creek bottoms, sloughes, tree belts,Crp lands and public lands.
Last year 82 birds in 3 days for our party. Talk about birds it was great to say the least.

I hunted up there in Pinedale in 2007 and shot a six point elk. I also thought that the rule of having a licensed resident to guide you is annoying, but when the snow storm hit in the back country right at dark, I was sure glad we had one. I'd still be there if not. :) Check out some of the dude ranches there, or I'm pretty sure there is a outfitter that can take you. Fortunately I knew a few people there that were able to help me. Good Luck.

I'm not looking for a guide I'm looking for a resident that's love hunting the same area, we use our own horses to get into the back country so it could work out good for both parties if they don't have horses, I'm not to worried about snow I was born and raised in South Dakota and every year we would get a Small amount of snow to play in. LOL
