I would like to know if anybody would be interested in a moose archery hunt. To be honest I will hunt the area for the first time this year for moose, but I've hunted whitetail deer in that region and I know there is moose, and virtually no hunter since it was a bowhunt only. Now we will have a 5-day muzzleloader moose hunt this fall. I will bowhunt for moose, and try muzzle later if I don't get one with a bow.
After this season, I will be able to tell more about the area and would welcome 1-2 hunters for 2006 if it goes well. The area is not a wilderness area, more your typical eastern cottage country, but plenty of woods. We will hunt 1/4 to 1 mile from road. But we saw moose last fall while hunting deer, and I found amazing moose rubs this winter. Tags are over-the-counter, and very cheap (200 $). You're allowed 1 moose per 2 hunters.
