Did you get the message? Wondering if I lost you Mexicanhunter. I'm working on a Mule Deer/ Whitetail hunt in Montana. I think you might be interested. I'll send pictures of a few bucks taken off the property. Only problem is we (non-residetns) have to draw tags. It may take a year or two to build enough point to draw.

Well here are the pictures I said I would post. There are a few things that must happen before this hunt will become possible. I will be hunting this area in Nov. I'm planning on talking with my cousin about seeing if there are any ranches willing to allow myself and 4 others to hunt. The local outfitters have taken up most of the better ranches. This is not to say the hunting is poor. See below. I have one ranch lock-in, but it would be nice to have others. Mexicanhunter- if we hunt together I'm not promising the next world record. You would have a chance at Mule Deer and Whitetails (not Coues deer). What to expect are Mule deer in the 140-160 class. Most are 4x4, with a 22-24 inch spread. We are south of the famous Milk River (seen on Primos hunting videos). Whitetail sit somewhere in the 125-140 class. The picture of me and my whitetail was a last day "meat buck". I saw larger that trip.

Now lets talk about the tag. Yes, it will take at least one point to draw the tag. So this hunt would occur Nov. 2012 (next year we would put in to gain that required point). This is because we are nonresidents. We would also have to put in for the deer/elk combo tag (approx. $600). I won't know how good the elk hunting is until this Nov. My dad and I drew the combo tag. We should get our deer, but not sure on the elk population in the area. We will see.
