Trade Iowa zone 4 deer hunting for CO mule deer

I posted a more in-depth thread in the "mule deer" section. I am looking for access or help in hunting out west, spot and stalk specifically for a rifle hunt (eventually want to get into more bowhunting that is my true passion). I want to shoot a trophy buck (170+) in my eyes and eventually get into elk hunting. States of interest would be something within 10 hours (max 12) from SW Iowa. If someone has a LO tag or could assist me in developing into a true "western"/backcountry hunter I would exchange that for whitetail hunting on my family ground 620 acres of PRIME zone 4 property. I manage the farm for trophy bucks and have strict management principles in place. We all know it is "hunting", but I assure you it is quality ground. Our properties consist of timber/CRP (all bedding), so it makes for great rut hunting.

I really want this to develop into a true friendship and relationship. If you could help me out west, I would obviously help you hear in Iowa and learn from one another to become better rounded hunters and outdoorsmen. Essentially be a "partner" on each other's hunt. Feel free to find my original post in the mule deer section. It is titled "CO units near I-70". Again, was wanting to find something close to I-70 to cut down on travel. Doesn't necessarily have to be CO. I understand we both probably wouldn't draw or get access in a years time (difficult to draw in IA), but we could still develop the frame work and begin scouting together. Let me know.

Thanks,

Skyler

I wholeheartedly apologize for all of those who have reached out. I am unfamiliar with this forum layout and never noticed or got notified of the messages. With the rumors of CO going to online applications will definitely apply. Really thinking of putting in for the early Sept. muzzy season/high country hunts. May work to text me as well: 712-899-1435.
