Buck for a Buck????

I live in South Dakota and hunt on land we own there as well as eastern Wyoming and Nebraska. I was hoping someone would let me go on a mule deer or elk hunt with them in exchange for a trophy whitetail in Nebraska? I provide all the meals and lodging on the whitetail hunt aas well as any needed transportation. I have a few muleys shot in these areas I hunt but are not that big by western standards. I also have trophy clas antelope to offer. I will sweeten te pot with what ever is necessary to do one of these hunts. I would like to kill a monster but who wouldn't. I would be happy with any decent quality representation of the species. I hope to do this in an area that is not too difficult to draw a tag.

Hey, i'm new here but have swapped before.
Last year I had a couple of guys come out to Idaho from NY on a swap elk/deer for deer/turkey/fishing. They shot 2 mulies(1 was 2x3 and the other was 5x5) They saw 3 bull elk but held out for monsters and got nothing. Tags are over-the-counter in my units. If you don't mind hunting along with me we might be able to work something out. Still gotta go to NY...

What are the season dates and all that. Where at in daho? I'm interested. How much are the tags.

I live in Southeast Idaho and hunt elk and mulies in unit 75. This unit has both deer and elk available to nonresidents over the counter. Deer tags about $225, elk tags about $325 first 3 weeks of October.
or..
I also hunt big deer and elk in units 59/59a(my favorite). Elk are draw for big bulls but deer are otc, tags are same price. Spikes are pretty easy here too-in my opinion!
I have a nice whitetail but I would be interested in an antelope. Heck, probably interested in a whitetail.

Hey,

I am currently in Europe on business(That's why all my posts are at odd times). When is the best time of day, your time, to call? I will call in the next couple of days. Hunting in Idaho is great, you will love it. But you must know... I am a BIG guy who hunts hard. Lotta miles and a lotta elevation every day. If you are coming to Idaho your muscles outta remind you of the hunt for a couple of days anyway!!I had a wonderful time with the last bunch of guys and hope we can enjoy a couple of hunts too.

Getting into the talk a little late but here it goes. I hunt Colorado for both mulies and elk. I do hunt different units and seasons for each. We hunt first season elk and third for deer. We hunt out of a walltent with wood stove for heat and food and sleep on cots. I have a few points saved up so I really just hunt for meat myself. Would love to trade a hunt for some Texas action. I have two sons. The oldest that is turning 8 just got his first antelope last year, and my youngest is 6 and he wants to hunt for something as well. Sorry I thought I read that you had land in Texas. Whats the youngest age that can hunt big game in Nebraska? Also what prices are they licenses for NR youths? Thanks Jovan

You can hunt at 12 or if he has had a licence some place else before he can hunt. ou can buy a NR youth tag for about the same as a resident. I also have antelope in SD same deal for the most part.
