Hi,

I am looking to swap a guided, all inclusive (except for transportation.)5 day Sonoran mule deer hunt for a decent Utah elk hunt. I would be willing to do something with a coues deer/javelina/predator hunt as well.

I have never hunted elk before and really would like to get up there this year.

Please Pm for further details.

I have some world class Freshwater Alaskan fishing if you are intertested. Been at it full time for over twenty five years. Groundhog

Croundhog-
You have any experience with Northerns and Sheefish in the Yukon River system?

Lifeisgood,
I have no experience on the Yukon, heard a lot about its huge runs of salmon. Used to do float trips on the Kobuk river for Sheefish. I imagine the sheefish and pike fishing is relatively un tapped on the Yukon.
We are in western Alaska, big trout, all five salmon, Dolly Varden, Arctic char and grayling. Most of our fishing is catch and release flyfishing.Groundhog

LAST EDITED ON May-08-06 AT 12:27PM (MST)[p]Don't think I could do anything this year (unless you're just looking to hunt elk), but I've love to talk with you about 2007 if you haven interest. Could maybe work out a trade for a guided CWMU hunt. Send me a PM if you do.

I've got several good private ranches in Wyoming where you can shoot a trophy bull. I'd be interested, but it's too late for this year. Check the pics at our website at www.triplecreekhunts.com to see the bulls and our bucks as well.

Sorry I did not reply sooner. I don't check this forum too often. Those deer are almost all taken in Region J. It's not over the counter, but there are always lots of licenses left over. I think there are 568 left after the drawing this year.

We also hunt in region D and B, asnd a few in T, but most of our leases are in region J.

But I can not recommend getting a license for region J. We hunt on private ranches I have leased for more than a decade. The public land hunting is poor. And there are no trespass fee hunts worth pursuing wither. I'd go to other regions or to other states if you want a big deer, or pay the guide fees.

Shoot me a pm if I can help.

Take care.

Jim
