Tines up digiscope adapter

BIGJOHNT has one, and from what I hear he loves it! They seam to have a great product. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

i see a few flaws in it. like, you have to take it off to change the power settings, and you have to push it on with a little force which can easily move you off of what the scope was zoomed in on.

here is the setup i built myself that allows quick, easy attachment. allows me to adjust the power while camera is attached and wont move the scope because the way it slides on smoothly. the adapter is custom built for my camera so there is no adjusting needed, its perfectly cnetered and right distance away.

I have the TU adapter for my Razor and it is awesome. It is very easy to take on and off, I can change power settings on my scope with it on, and there is no bulkey attachment that remains on the scope at all time. A much superior way to digiscope IMO. It is very simple and user friendly, and I don't need to be a digiscoping pro to end up with some great pics. Here are a few taken with the TU adapter throught my Razor at 2000+ yards.

Other than eliminating the shake when taking video, I can take just as good of pictures freehanding it. Oh yeah, without expoxying anything to my camera....

Ya until you try to video through your spotter and have to pan along with the animal.

I bought the tines up adapter because trying to get a great bull threw my spotting scope by hand . I didn't get the picture .I got his feet and grass. The adapter keeps you centered. I also like it because it is not as bulky as those other adapters. I also got there camera that does video aswell.

every adapter has its pluses and minuses and it all depends on what you want and what you can afford, for me, i already had the camera and the aluminum as well so it was just a couple hours of my time and its set up with the features i need. I hope weather clears soon so i can get a pic or two with it, its still in the box unused :(

I have the digiscope adapters for use with a nikon DSLR camera and a kowa spotting scope, I don't have any use for it any more, if someone could use it we could work out some kinda trade, when I did use it, it worked great, thou from what I have seen on most of them your auto focus system on your camera will not work. I think I spent like $300 for everything, with my kowa scope it worked out to be a 800MM lens, if you went to buy a nikon 800mm lens your looking at $10,000 big ones....ouch

I love my scope cam adapter ive videoed from a long ways. If your zooming your scope your doing it wrong use your video camera 25x and under cams work the best and the point and shoot kits are sweet thats next on my list you can vidoe through the digital cam that comes with it i use a swarovski 80 hd straight body the only thing I wish i did different for the digiscoping side things is had an angled scope they seem to stay a little more stable with the tines up adaptors but i like lookin through a straight body better. The scope cams are a little tough at first but once ya get the hang of it it becomes easier.

I have the TU set up as well and it works great. Only complaint I have is that I wish it had a tighter fit on the scope. If the scope is standing straight up and down the adapter would fall off.

Muleymaster, you want to make another one for my scope?

I made one out of a block of 2x4 and $.29 worth of hardware. All you need are a couple of hole saws to fit the lens of your spotter and the lens of your camera.

Another simple way for cameras that have adapter rings like my Lumix DMC-LX3 is to get an adapter ring for it and machine a PVC fitting. One side is machined to slide over the end of the scope and the other end is machined so that the ring slides into it. The adapter rings are about $20 and the PVC fitting is less than $2. I will try to get a picture of it and post it later.

BigPig, I would also like to see your set-up.
