Hey guys just wondering if any of you have used or purchased the Cabela's Euro HD's? I'm debating on these or a pair of Vortex...Just needing a few opinions, are the HD's that much better than the regular Euro's. I do like Vortex customer service and warranty. Let me know if you have any thoughts thanks in advance

Just compared these two in the store a few weeks ago, side by side. for my eyes, the Euros were Brighter and sharper Hands-down. I'm a Swaro user and believer to the core and I thought the Euros compared favorably. I wouldn't hesitate to Buy. I wasn't impressed with the Vortex. My .02

Just for clarification, were you comparing the Euro HD with the Viper HD or the standard Euro with the Viper HD? I have been doing a lot of thinking about the binocular subject and am pretty much down to the standard Euro vs. the Viper HD. However, I am curious if the Euro HD is way better than the standard Euro. Does that make sense?

I wish I didn't live so far away from a Cabela's store so I could compare them myself.

Thanks for the input.

Picked up my pair of Euro HD's this morning...I decided to go with these after doing a lot of homework and comparing all the big 3 at the store. The Euro HD's are noticeably sharper and brighter than the original Euros. My Dad has a pair of Swaro EL's and I cannot tell a difference between the EL's and the Euro HD's. Compared most of Vortex line and the HD Euro's IMO are a better glass than anything I compared with Vortex....Just my 2 cents worth

I did the same thing and also ended up with the Hd Euro's. IMO They are the best bino for the $ hands down.

I was hoping that the HD EURO was available in the 12x50.... HD's are only available in the 1042's . Those of you who have compared the 2 , ( HD's and standard model) is there a noticeable difference ?

Are the HD's worth the extra $200?

The only 2 complaints I have about the Euro's now is one the weight. They are a bit heavier then most other binos in thier class especially for the money. Two the warranty. They use to have a great warranty, but now they have a 1 yr warranty and after that your pretty much on your own. I upgraded my Euro's to Swarovisions right before the warranty changed and I'm glad I did. I can tell a difference in setting behind them all day.

I went to Cabela's to buy some Vortex Razor HD binos and came home with the Euro HD instead. Not saying the Vortex are bad just like the Euro's better.

Only partially true. Cabelas only warranties them for 1-year, no questions asked. After that, they're still warrantied by Meopta, who has great customer service.

I did purchase Cabela Euro HD's in October. I had previously owned the regular Euros's for three years and the extra 200-300 is defiantly worth it. Just like everyone has said they are a little heavy but for the money they own the Vortex HD's in my opinion. Again for the money euros or euro HD is the nicest glass in the 800-1500 range hands down. Just my own 2 cents.

I just saw this topic pop back up. I also went with the Euro HD. I think they are a big improvement over the standard Euro. I used them through deer season this fall and was impressed.

We have a lot of exciting news with the Euro HD line of binocualrs coming this fall. Stay tuned we will share more when we finalize the details and let you guys have a sneak peak.

We have a new Legendary lifetime warranty that we will be rolling out in a few weeks that covers all the Euro products even the old ones. If anything ever goes wrong with your Euro you can exchange it for a new one no questions asked. As for the new powers that will be available you are just going to have to wait until July but I am sure you will like what you see.

I compared my Swaros to my buddy's Euros and they were pretty similar. I was impressed with the Euros.

If the quality of Vortex's binos is anything like the quality of their range finder, you would have to pay me to take those things out in the field. Great service, but that doesn't help you much if you have to send them in after your first trip.
